Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Owambe Tribe, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account or impersonate another person.
• You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Reviews

• Reviews must reflect genuine, first-hand experiences with the vendor.
• You may not submit reviews for vendors you have not personally engaged.
• Reviews must not contain false statements, personal attacks, hate speech, private contact details, or illegal content.
• You grant Owambe Tribe a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and moderate your review content.
• We may reject, edit for safety, or remove reviews that violate our Review Guidelines.

5. Vendor Listings

• Vendors must claim their profile before modifying it. Claiming constitutes a representation that you are authorised to manage the business.
• Vendor-submitted information must be accurate. Misleading descriptions or fake credentials may result in suspension.
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
• Lead credits expire if not used within 12 months of purchase.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or platform systems without authorisation.
• Submit spam, fake reviews, or coordinated inauthentic content.
• Scrape, copy, or systematically download platform data without our written consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the platform's operation.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, and code are owned by or licensed to Owambe Tribe. User-submitted review content remains the property of the submitter, but you grant us a licence to display it. You may not reproduce platform content without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Owambe Tribe provides the platform "as is". We do not guarantee the accuracy of reviews or vendor information. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, our liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 3 months, or ₦10,000 — whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in Nigerian courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you via email and require re-acceptance for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
