Review Guidelines
What makes a review helpful — and what we don't allow.
1. Our Standard
A great review reflects your genuine experience with a vendor — the good, the average, and the bad. Real reviews from real brides are the entire reason Owambe Tribe exists, so we hold every review to the same bar: honest, specific, and fair.
2. What to Include
- Service quality — did the vendor deliver what was promised?
- Communication — were they responsive, clear, and professional?
- Value — was the price fair for what you received?
- Specifics that would help another bride decide, such as timeliness or how issues were handled.
3. What's Not Allowed
- Paid, incentivized, or fabricated reviews — including reviews written on behalf of someone else.
- Accusations of criminal activity (fraud, theft, illegal conduct) unless factual and verifiable.
- Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks aimed at vendor staff.
- Sharing another person's private contact details or personal information.
- Reviews unrelated to your actual experience with the vendor's services.
4. Verified Bookings
Reviews tied to a verified booking display a "Verified booking" badge and carry the most weight in a vendor's rating. You can still leave a review without a formal booking record, but it may be held for a closer look before publishing.
5. Moderation
Reviews with high-risk language, or reviews that are reported by a vendor, are placed into moderation for review against these guidelines. See our Content Moderation Policy for details on that process.
6. Editing & Removing Your Review
You can edit or delete your own review at any time from your account. Once removed, a review cannot be restored — if you'd like to update it instead, please edit rather than delete and repost.
